I decided in this new Cosmic series painting, I would continue with the light filled background and for the fun of it, add stringlike particles branching off through space. I’ve titled the painting, String Theory. It was fun to paint, I kept layering curving lines of colors and then adding various planets and stars, just going with my intuition on the composition. It looks like rivers of colors, merging and moving about through space,
String therory states that everything in the universe is made up of tiny vibrational strings; I’ve learned this has been disproved recently. In quantum physics, everthing from the miroscopic to the vastness of galaxies is made of energy that’s always moving. I was trying to created a sense of depth and movement in this painting.
Beautiful! Love it.
Thank you Ka Malana!
My pleasure 🪷💕
your paintings always evoke a feeling of calm. I love this
Thank you Lisa, so nice of you to take the time to come over to my blog post, much appreciated!
Simply stunning! I should return to my series of fractals about the same concept.
I’m also wondering if I could achieve the same kind of things with watercolors.
Thank you for the inspiration.
NB: In case you want to see the fractals: https://exhibit.creativeramblings.com/part-3/ (they are the ones in the orange / deep red tones)
Thank you Cendrine, I bet you can! I’ll check out your fractal paintings. Wow, they are amazing, can’t believe they are watercolors, impressive!
Thank you! Those are not paintings, I design fractals with software called Apophysis. But I did attempt to paint galaxies last year.
Cool. I misunderstood, it will be interesting to see the watercolor adaptions.
Fractals are a little too challenging for my level so far, but I really enjoyed trying to paint galaxies.
